Sleep is so important! I use to take it for granted because I didn’t have a proper routine. Now, that I do, sleep is a priority. A good night sleep sets the tone for the next day! Also, it’s not only about getting a good night sleep but also going to bed on time. I’m a night owl. I love the nights and I actually prefer working at night than during the day because it is more peaceful. Now, I’ve been sleeping before 12am (I use to sleep at 1am) or sometimes I’m knocked out before 11.30pm ever since I started walking early in the morning. Anyway, here is my week three documentation. It will be my last week of entry. I would probably just publish an update later on or maybe if I make it to Day 90. Who knows but for now I’m happy I made it to week three.

I know that once I get up and walk I would feel 100 times better and that is what is pushing me to wake up and go for my walk.

Day 15

So after 3 days of not really walking for as long as I liked, I finally walked for about 45minutes. I walked by the regular route I take. Its getting easier to wake up and getting out of bed because my body clock has adjusted. Also, even if I wanted to sleep in longer I know that once I get up and walk I would feel 100 times better and that is what is pushing me to wake up and go for my walk. Breathing in the fresh air and hearing the birds chirping is so refreshing. It’s a good start to week three!

Day 16

Sometimes my foot hurts when walking. However, as I continue walking, the pain disappears. I have flat feet so the heel of my feet hurts at times. I tried to walk as fast as I could today and finish my morning walk early but I guess I have to wake up 10 minutes before 6am to do so. Walking too is a form of meditating. Sometimes I just get lost in my thoughts and I don’t realize that I’ve walked a certain distance. I think after day 21, I will stop the daily journal entry. I will just update every 21 days till I reach day 90. And at the end of day 90, hopefully I’ve turned it into a lifestyle.

Day 17 & Day 18

I totally forgot to log in day 17 and even when I did remember it, I was already in bed all tucked in to sleep. Anyway, day 17 walk was cut short because I had an emergency to attend to and day 18 never happened. I wasn’t feeling well, so I slept in. Well, I tried to anyway as I actually woke up at 5am.

Day 19 & Day 20

For Day 19, it was the first time to walk beauty without her leash. Though it was a holiday, woke up early and went for a walk. I wanted to sleep in but I was awake. Day 20 on the other hand is another story. I’ve been wanting to sleep in for a while now. Finally, I did! I didn’t walk today and that’s okay. Sometimes, it is good to take a break.

I’d love to sleep in but my body just wakes me up

Day 21

I made it to day 21! Yay! I can definitely say that I’ve gotten used to walking up in the morning. I’d love to sleep in but my body just wakes me up. It even wakes me up an hour ahead of my alarm. I’m not a fan but it is easier to get out of bed. I didn’t walk as much as I use to but I’ve been walking. I sprinted for a bit also today. I’m so glad I made it to 21 days of waking up and going for a walk.

Reflections on week 3

Okay so as I publish this blog, I’ve actually just ended week 4 and I’m entering into week 5. I have to say, I haven’t been consistent and I missed 3 days in a row at week 4. As you have just read above for week 3, I missed 2 days already. I hope missing walking days doesn’t turn into a habit. They say that it’s okay to take a break but not to miss days more than 3 days in a row. So, with that in mind I really hope I make it to day 90 and turn this into a lifestyle because it is a good habit and I can see changes in the way I feel. Even if I don’t go for walks everyday, I hope to walk up early and maybe workout or stretch instead.

PS:- If you guys made it this far, thanks for reading my entry and coming along this journey. I’ll update you guys later on on whether I made it to day 90. Cheers for now.
