Photography trip to Mirbat

Here are some pictures I took and edited of the Mirbat trip we went on a couple of weeks ago. It was a landscape photography road trip turned into our own personal photo shoot (of course). Normally I would share pictures on instagram but it’s so much better sharing them here on full resolution. Also, I’m starting to collaborate with friends on my blog posts and on this post I asked Asmaa to write her thoughts about the trip. Read what she has to say below.

Quick unexpected road trips - Those are one of my favorite types of adventures. Although it's just a 40 minute drive to Mirbat and was planned the day before but if you know my friends, you'd know that even a 20 minute ride would need to be planned a week ahead. Yet, I still consider them adventures because they're filled with 'ifs'. If we will gather on time, if we will stop to get snacks or if we will catch the sunset. Truth is road trips are all about the unplanned and unexpected.

We were set to go to Mirbat and take photos of the Castle. Little did I know we'd stop to take photos at the sand dunes located between the ocean and the mountains. Can you imagine such a scene? A desert like atmosphere between a beach and mountains. The rush we were in to reach Mirbat on time before sunset had us thinking quickly and creatively about the photos we were taking. Even after reaching Mirbat we had to think and click photos quickly as the sun was starting to set.

To me a road trip is like an empty book where the front cover is the ride going to and the back cover is the ride back. The rest of the book is filled by you.
